Very good support for trainees
I have always been interested in electronics and, after several internships, I decided that the profession of electronics technician was the one for me. I then attended several education fairs to find out about the associated job opportunities as well as SEW-EURODRIVE - SEW-EURODRIVE was also involved in a partnership with my old school where the company held a presentation. Overall, I had the impression that the company placed great importance on training, and that I would receive good training there.
There is no such thing as a typical day for an Electronics technician for industrial engineering. Every day I am faced with different tasks and challenges: if machines display a fault, this has to be repaired quickly, as otherwise production stops.
From the second year of your training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering, you attend the Heinrich-Herz-Schule in Karlsruhe. We attend college on Mondays and Tuesdays. This includes lessons in the laboratory and computer room where you conduct experiments and learn about programming.
I enjoy wiring circuits in control cabinets or other equipment. It's always great to see your set-up come to life immediately when you flick the switch.
I enjoy wiring circuits in control cabinets or other equipment. It's always great to see your set-up come to life immediately when you flick the switch. As an electronics technician you need a solid grasp of mathematics and an understanding of physics as well as manual dexterity.
I was surprised by the seminars that you attend during the training program. The things you learn at the seminars really help you in your professional life. This includes team work as well as information about the company and technical information.
In contrast to other companies, SEW-EURODRIVE really looks after its trainees. The company is well known all over the world, cares about its employees and has a good reputation – so I am proud to be part of SEW-EURODRIVE.
After completing my training, I can start my technician or foreman training or even a degree program. This is all supported by SEW-EURODRIVE.
