After an introductory phase lasting around three and a half weeks, you will embark on your three-year apprenticeship as an industrial management assistant. Working directly in our commercial departments, you will discover what makes our company tick – from procurement, sales, and marketing through to service, finance, and HR. The operational tasks you are given in our departments will include obtaining and comparing quotes from suppliers, and helping the finance team bill our customers and log incoming payments. You will also be assigned administrative tasks such as organizing and coordinating dates and deadlines, preparing presentations and statistics, and optimizing work processes and workflows.
The practical part of your training takes place at our Bruchsal and Graben-Neudorf sites. A professional team of experienced trainers will give you regular feedback and will always be on hand to offer advice and support. You will also benefit from the state-of-the-art training center we are opening in Graben-Neudorf in fall 2025.
Alongside your practical training, you will be taught the relevant theory in the classes you attend and also in seminars about work methods, teamwork, and many other topics. You will complete blocks of lessons at the Handelslehranstalt Bruchsal commercial school.
After completing your training as an industrial management assistant, you can get started in one of our commercial departments, such as procurement, finance, HR, or sales, depending on your interests and strengths. You will assume responsibility for activities such as procuring raw materials, processing customer orders, billing customers, assisting colleagues, and completing administrative tasks. Besides regularly participating in training courses and seminars, you can also take up a variety of further training options, including qualifying as an industrial business administrator, a certified management accountant, or an HR manager.
The stipend we pay you is clearly regulated, based on the collective agreement for the metal and electrical industry in North Württemberg / North Baden:
Money isn't everything, though. You can look forward to numerous other benefits, including a 35-hour week, flextime days, special bonuses, a company pension, a travel allowance, a canteen, and much more besides!
The entry requirement for our apprenticeship as an industrial management assistant is a mid-level diploma (Mittlere Reife) from a vocational high school (Werkrealschule, Realschule, or Fachschule).
Grades are not the sole factor we consider in our decisions about training positions – they are more a way of ensuring you get an interview. It is important that your personal capabilities suit both the training and us as a company. Besides having a good head for figures, you should enjoy tasks involving organization, communication, and teamwork.
