  • There are three fields of study to choose from: automation technology, information technology, sensor technology
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Science (BSc, 210 ECTS credits) + electronics technician for industrial engineering (German Chamber of Industry and Commerce)
  • Two qualifications by combining study with industrial training, high practical relevance thanks to practical phases at the company, regular monthly stipend, financial independence
  • Prerequisite: General university entrance qualification (Abitur)

These are the key areas you will study during the electrical engineering and information technology program

  • Mathematics, physics, the basics of electrical engineering and information technology (circuits, electronic circuits, digital circuits, programming)
  • Depending on the field of study, these subjects will be supplemented by study of control technology and the automation of processes, or sensor technology and measurement processing, real-time data processing, automation systems, power electronics, and electrical drive systems.

The practical phase at SEW-EURODRIVE

  • Training workshop: This is where you will acquire knowledge about electrical and electronic components and learn the basics of metalworking (Cooperative State University degree program). In StudiumPLUS: Preparing for the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce specialist worker's examination in the field of electronics.
  • Participating in development projects for motors, electronics, and software, e.g. programming microcontrollers or developing and implementing test stands.
  • Gaining insights into our state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and processes in electronics production.
  • Customer-related work in product management, sales, and service: Drawing up project plans or quotations, providing support for field sales engineers
  • Placements at one of our international branches or at our sales offices in Germany are possible
