Details of your apprenticeship at SEW‑EURODRIVE

To create a solid foundation, the first part of your three-year apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development provides the fundamental skills associated with IT support, hardware and software products, networks, servers / data centers, and IT security. In parallel to this, you will undertake intensive training to learn various programming languages, such as C# and ABAP. You will then design and develop applications for our employees, adapt user interfaces, and manage databases. The apprenticeship also covers technology hot topics such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

The practical part of your training takes place at our Bruchsal and Graben-Neudorf sites. A professional team of experienced trainers will give you regular feedback and will always be on hand to offer advice and support. You will also benefit from the state-of-the-art training center we are opening in Graben-Neudorf in fall 2025.

Alongside your practical training, you will be taught the relevant theory in the classes you attend and also in seminars about work methods, teamwork, and many other topics. You will attend the Berufliche Schulen Bretten vocational school one or two days a week.

Besides participating in regular training courses relating to the latest IT topics and technologies, you can also take up a variety of further training options, such as training to become a certified IT project manager or a certified IT specialist.
