To create a solid foundation, the first part of your three-year apprenticeship as a digitalization management assistant provides the fundamental skills associated with IT support, hardware and software products, networks, servers / data centers, and IT security, as well as a basic grasp of various programming languages, such as C# and ABAP. In parallel to this, you will gain experience in commercial departments such as procurement, sales, finance, and HR. You will learn how to develop, roll out, and optimize IT solutions in line with commercial requirements.
The practical part of your training takes place at our Bruchsal and Graben-Neudorf sites. A professional team of experienced trainers will give you regular feedback and will always be on hand to offer advice and support. You will also benefit from the state-of-the-art training center we are opening in Graben-Neudorf in fall 2025.
Alongside your practical training, you will be taught the relevant theory in the classes you attend and also in seminars about work methods, teamwork, and many other topics. You will attend the Berufliche Schulen Bretten vocational school one or two days a week.
After completing your training as a digitalization management assistant, you can either work in one of our commercial departments – such as procurement, finance, HR, or sales – or opt for a software development or IT support role in our IT department, depending on your interests and strengths. You can assume responsibility for IT tasks in the various departments, such as rolling out new IT systems or supporting IT users.
A variety of further training options are open to you – qualifying as a commercial or IT business administrator or business economist, for example – and you can regularly attend training courses in areas such as IT security, network administration, and ICT.
The stipend we pay you is clearly regulated, based on the collective agreement for the metal and electrical industry in North Württemberg / North Baden:
Money isn't everything, though. You can look forward to numerous other benefits, including a 35-hour week, flextime days, special bonuses, a company pension, a travel allowance, a canteen, and much more besides!
The entry requirement for our apprenticeship as a digitalization management assistant is a mid-level diploma (Mittlere Reife) from a vocational high school (Werkrealschule, Realschule, or Fachschule).
Grades are not the sole factor we consider in our decisions about training positions – they are more a way of ensuring you get an interview. It is important that your personal capabilities suit both the training and us as a company. Besides a good head for figures, you should also have an interest in IT, along with an aptitude for logical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
