Manual work and technology combined – during your apprenticeship as a metal technology specialist, you will learn all about the manual and mechanical processing of different materials. You will get an in-depth grounding in product assembly and discover what's important in quality control, while also gaining an insight into the different departments where industrial mechanics work. One special feature of the apprenticeship as a metal technology specialist is that it lasts two years.
The practical part of your basic training predominantly takes place at our plant in Graben-Neudorf. Some of the technical training is provided in Bruchsal. A professional team of experienced trainers will give you regular feedback and will always be on hand to offer advice and support. You will also benefit from the state-of-the-art training center we are opening in Graben-Neudorf in fall 2025.
Alongside your practical training, you will be taught the relevant theory in the classes (Balthasar-Neumann-Schule 2) you attend and also in seminars about work methods, teamwork, and many other topics. You will attend vocational school in Bruchsal two days a week.
As a metal technology specialist, you can work in our assembly or production department. If you do particularly well during your apprenticeship, it is possible to continue your training and qualify as an industrial mechanic.
The stipend we pay you is clearly regulated, based on the collective agreement for the metal and electrical industry in North Württemberg / North Baden:
Money isn't everything, though. You can look forward to numerous other benefits, including a 35-hour week, flextime days, special bonuses, a company pension, a travel allowance, a canteen, and much more besides!
The entry requirement for our apprenticeship as a metal technology specialist is a mid-level diploma (Mittlere Reife) from a vocational high school (Werkrealschule, Realschule, or Fachschule) or a basic-level diploma (Hauptschulabschluss) with good grades.
Grades are not the sole factor we consider in our decisions about training positions – they are more a way of ensuring you get an interview. It is important that your personal capabilities – being good at working with your hands and having a natural interest in technology – suit both the training and us as a company.
