Appreciated and supported during the training program

My name is Fabienne Kretz. I am completing my training as an industrial clerk. After completing various internships in different companies and occupations during my time in middle school, I was certain that this training would be my future career aspiration. The training is very interesting because I am in constant contact with other people. My tasks are diverse, interesting and challenging.

I decided on SEW-EURODRIVE as the company does a lot for its trainees. I learned a lot about SEW-EURODRIVE's attitude towards its young employees in discussion with trainees and trainee supervisors at education fairs. After completing my internship at the company it was clear to me: “This is where you want to work in the future.”

At SEW-EURODRIVE trainees are quickly integrated into the “daily routine”. In many commercial departments that I have spent time in I was immediately able to participate, complete tasks independently and was welcomed by all. I frequently hold additional informative discussion to find out as much as possible about the individual workplaces.

For example, in Purchasing I can independently create orders, work on the arrears list and contact suppliers. In the Human Resources department I find out about applicant correspondence and in Sales I can independently enter orders for gear units. It's never boring – besides my own area of responsibility, I also always get to join employees from the various departments to watch them go about their activities and pepper them with questions. I also have the opportunity to participate in the “Leisure Program for SEW employees” project. The project team consists of a number of trainees. This is where we prepare a program leaflet with recreational activities for employees.

I most enjoy working with other people. During the working day I am in constant contact with employees, suppliers, customers and especially my fellow trainees. SEW-EURODRIVE is generally very focused on teamwork. This is already evident in the introductory seminar with the other trainees. Cooperation is reinforced from the very start and you generate real friendships during your training.

I find it great that trainees are appreciated and supported. Even the trainee supervisors give you the feeling that you are an important part of SEW-EURODRIVE. The company also provides support if you want to continue your education after completing your training. In addition, they have fantastic employee benefits and place a great deal of importance on maintaining a healthy workplace.

An applicant for the profession of industrial clerk must have an open mindset, enjoy interacting with people and working with a PC and be interested in operational processes.

After you complete your training, there is a good chance that you will find permanent employment in a department at SEW-EURODRIVE. You can then choose to participate in specific (e.g. human resource manager) or general (e.g. business manager) training.
