Information management cooperative study program: rollout of SAP systems

As an information management engineer you will be part of productive operations in the IT department from the very start and gradually familiarize yourself with the company's hardware and software. Your tasks include investigating the functionalities of a new software or programming an evaluation in the SAP environment requested by a department. At the same time you learn about the work processes in various business areas in information discussions and smaller practical assignments. You also learn about the internal customer demands of IT. Your key tasks include the recording of IT concepts with subsequent coordination and implementation as well as testing and introduction. You then also support the departments in everyday operation.

What happens after the study program

Most of our information management graduates now work in IT. Here they work as specialists in various systems and programs, such as our operating systems, client-server structures, databases and basic SAP programs. Or, they work in system development where they are responsible for adapting the SAP modules to our requirements using the programming language ABAP. Another potential field of activity is global IT support, which the company provides from its base in Germany.

As web experts, our information management engineers manage our intranet and Internet presence and the e-business applications for our sales department and our customers. Or they work as IT specialists in all our business departments – ultimately, business studies is a key part of your degree program.

As one of about 200 IT employees there are a wide range of activities that you may be assigned to complete. We have a cutting-edge and innovative IT area that is extremely important for the company.

Regardless of which area you decide on, we place a great deal of importance on technical and personal development. We also support you in obtaining your Master's qualification if this is required for your desired career and this fits in with your performances.

What you need to start the information management cooperative study program

We require a general university entrance qualification for a cooperative study program. But, for the Cooperative State University study program you also have the opportunity to study at the Cooperative State University with a qualification to attend a university of applied sciences. To do so, you will need very good results in the study capability test at the DHBW as well as having completed your professional training in the desired subject with very good grades.

A specific cut-off is not required to study with us – but your results should still be fairly good overall. At the end of the day the cooperative study program is very compact and demanding. That's why we also expect at least a double-digit score in mathematics, English and computer science and business studies, if applicable.

It is particularly important to us that your personal skills fit the training and us as a company. Grades are not the only factor based on which we grant our study places, rather they secure your ticket to the interview. Do you take responsibility and always give your best? Do you think beyond your immediate tasks and take responsibility for errors? Maybe you have already demonstrated these characteristics in school and leisure activities? Then your chances of studying with us are quite high.
