Would you like to experience us 'live'? Find out more about us and our technology in direct discussion? In that case, come to our events: Meet us at many career fairs or university events – we will be happy to tell you more.

Or breathe your first "SEW air" at one of our SEW Days. These are organized specifically for university groups: Presentations will provide you with knowledge of drive technology and in workshops you can put your practical skills to the test and assemble some gear units. And you will of course visit our electronics production, the industrial gear unit plant in Bruchsal or our plant in Graben-Neudorf – technology fascination guaranteed.

And if you have already started at SEW-EURODRIVE: At our student information day you will get to know your fellow students and find out exciting things all about our technology.

SEW-Days

Are you training to be an engineer or computer scientist in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science or industrial engineering? Or are you a professor or lecturer?

Our SEW Days, which are specifically designed for university groups, provide practical and educational insight into the world of drive engineering.

• Presentations enable you to gather drive technology expertise

• Workshops give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and assemble gear units, for example

• You can visit our electronics production facility, the plant for large gear units in Bruchsal or our plant in Graben-Neudorf

• You can talk to experienced engineers

SEW-Day 4.0 for students

By the way - there is also a SEW Day 4.0 where you can participate as a prospective mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, computer scientist, software specialist, industrial engineer or simply as a technology enthusiastic student as an individual. During a varied day, you will experience together with other students which technology will be used to automate factories in the future.

From planning in VR (Virtual Reality), to automation using Cyber Physical Systems, to virtual process support. From theory to practice.

Drive technology seminars

Our drive technology seminars, which we hold in conjunction with our DriveAcademy®, provide two days of practical insight into the world of drive engineering. Working in a select circle, experienced engineers will share their knowledge with you on how to assemble gear units, program complex control systems for drive automation or start up electric motors using frequency inverters, for example.

Requirements: You must be training as an engineer or computer scientist in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics (or similar), and have impressed us with your achievements or at one of our events.

Day 1

• You will receive and overview of motors, gear units and inverters

• You will learn about the standard project planning procedure and discover how drives are designed to meet specific requirements

• In theory and practice, you will learn about the difference between controlled and uncontrolled drive systems

Day 2

• You will learn how to use a laptop and appropriate software to load specific parameters onto the inverter

• You will start up an inverter with various control modes

• You will visit a showroom and see the technology in action
