Description
Defines whether direct referencing to cams can be activated.
Reference travel can be activated as follows:
- Via the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller
- Via a safe digital input F‑DI
To activate reference travel via the safe process output data, the Activate reference travel bit must be set.
If reference travel is activated in the function assignment via the rising edge of a parameterized safe digital input, the bit of the safe process output data is not evaluated.
With this reference type, the user must actively start a movement in the inverter. The safety option monitors only the movement. Reference travel must be activated at the start of or during the movement before the reference cam is reached. The position of the cam is adopted as the reference position only when the reference cam is passed.
If 2 reference cams are used or if 1 reference cam is redundant, the following requirements must be met:
- The reference cams must be normally closed.
- One digital input pair must be parameterized as single-channel (Connection type parameter in the parameter group Safe inputs).
- The function Reference travel – cam (parameter group Function assignment) must be assigned to both safe digital inputs.
If reference travel is executed without errors, the status bit Referenced is reported to the higher-level safety controller via the safe process input data.
The parameter setting is specified in the Assist CS.. tool. In MOVISUITE®, the specified setting is only displayed. This description refers to the Assist CS.. tool.
The following settings are possible:
Setting | Meaning |
---|---|
0 (no) | Referencing to cams cannot be activated. |
1 (yes) | Referencing to cams can be activated. |
Default value
0 (no)
