Description
The distance of the speed filter is the integral of the speed above or below the relevant limit speed over the time in which the speed is above or below the relevant limit speed (area dt in the diagram).
For example, if the upper limit speed is set to 100 mm s-1 but the speed increases up to 120 mm s-1, the values 0 to 20 mm s-1 are integrated over the time in which the speed is over 100 mm s-1.
When the value is 0, the speed filter is not active.
If the value is greater than 0, the distance of the speed filter is calculated separately for the upper and lower limit speed:
- The distance is built up when the speed exceeds the upper limit speed or drops below the lower limit speed.
- If the value exceeds or drops below the distance of the speed filter, the specified error response is triggered and the status of the safe process data changes.
- The distance is reduced when the speed drops back below the upper limit speed or rises back above the lower limit speed.
