Motors which also drive careers

After completing my apprenticeship as a state-accredited process engineering mechanic, I started a degree in mechanical engineering in Karlsruhe. Over this period, I developed a huge interest in technical processes, interrelationships and, in particular, in product development and design. As I am keen to make a difference in my life, I viewed SEW-EURODRIVE as the perfect place to do this because their drives are used virtually everywhere in the world where a difference is being made. I have now been working for two months in motor development as an intern.

My main task is to actively collaborate on a development project. This has allowed me to take on some varied and challenging tasks such as the design of a drive in consultation with the electronic development and gear unit development departments. My day-to-day work also includes meetings, workshops, research and conducting and evaluating tests. I particularly enjoy finding design solutions to different challenges and problems.

The workplace I have contains a PC with two large screens, as well as up-to-date CAD and simulation software. In addition to this, I am able to use modern measuring instruments in the test center.

If you want to make a difference in your life then SEW-EURODRIVE is the place for you. Expert colleagues cooperate and interact perfectly, like gear wheels, to drive projects forward.

Collaboration with my direct superiors, supervisors and colleagues is extremely friendly. The work with colleagues from related professional circles is also very relaxed. The professional dialog, which takes place regularly, gives me the opportunity to learn a great deal. Supporting a development project has enabled me to gain an extensive insight into the work of an engineer.

For the internship in development, a student needs to have a high level of commitment, curiosity and basic technical knowledge. A huge social commitment to employees is part of the corporate orporate culture at SEW-EURODRIVE. SEW-EURODRIVE is a very modern employer with a bright future. The success of the company is reflected in the extremely positive working atmosphere.

I am delighted that, following their internship, SEW-EURODRIVE grant students the chance to take up a student work placement.
