Description

Defines whether the safety option intervenes in the control of the inverter when the safety sub-function is active.

The parameter setting is specified in the Assist CS.. tool. In MOVISUITE®, the specified setting is only displayed. This description refers to the Assist CS.. tool.

The following settings are possible:

Setting

Meaning

Not active

The safety option does not interfere with the inverter control. The inverter is controlled via an external source, such as digital inputs, fieldbus, or system bus.

Active with limitation

The safety option limits the following setpoints in the inverter:

  • Speed setpoint in the inverter to the difference of the limit speed and the limit speed distance of the safety sub-function
  • Deceleration setpoint in the inverter to the deceleration of the safety sub-function
  • Jerk time in the inverter to the jerk time of the safety sub-function for jerk-limited ramp monitoring

The limitation has no effect on interpolating drive functions (e.g. FCB 10 Interpolated position control).
