FCB 10 Interpolated position control

  • Menu: 4.4.10

Description

FCB 10 is used for cyclic position setpoint input from a higher-level controller. If a synchronized bus system is available, i.e. the incoming process data have a fixed time reference to the setpoint processing cycle of the inverter, then the course of the profile is specified by the controller.

If the cycle in which the controller sends the setpoints to the inverter is slower than the setpoint processing cycle of the inverter, the position setpoint input must be a multiple of the position controller sampling cycle time. To obtain a continuous setpoint for the position controller that operates with a shorter time interval, linear interpolation is performed between position setpoints that arrive in a larger time interval. During interpolation, the setpoint flow is delayed by one communication cycle. The inverter can be set to different time cycles of the controller in the parameter Controller setpoint cycle (parameter group Setpoints > Basic settings). The position setpoint received via two process data is interpreted in user units.

The inverter limits the setpoints using the application limits.
