Brake test
- Menu: 4.9.70
Description
The SBT brake test is used to test the functionality and performance of up to 2 brakes. In a static test, the closed brakes are loaded separately with an adjustable torque.
INFORMATION

The brake test can only be performed with a motor encoder (encoder 1) that can be processed by a MOVISAFE® CS..A safety option.
The brake test must not be used with the EI7C FS encoder.
The brake is actuated via the safe digital output F‑DO to which the SBC safety sub-function is assigned. If the safety sub-function is assigned to both safe digital outputs, 2 brakes are tested in sequence.

If necessary, the DB 00 brake control of the inverter can also be wired up.
The brake test can be activated as follows:
- Via a safe digital input F‑DI or via the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller
- Via a non-safe digital input or non-safe process data in conjunction with a safe digital input F‑DI or the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller
SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends activation via a safe digital input or via the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller.
