Description
The SLA safety sub-function monitors the actual acceleration to make sure that the defined limit acceleration is not exceeded. The monitoring takes place only if the absolute value of the actual speed is greater than the value of the parameter Minimum speed for acceleration function (parameter group Basic settings).
If the limit acceleration is exceeded, the specified error response is triggered.
INFORMATION
The SLA safety sub-function cannot be used in the following cases:
With the EI7C FS encoder
If 3 encoders are evaluated with the MOVISAFE® CSA31A safety option
If the safety protocol FSoE or CIP Safety™ is used for the safe communication
The safety sub-function can be activated as follows:
- Via a safe digital input F‑DI
- Via the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller
- Permanently via the Permanently activated parameter
