SW limit switch hit response
- Menu: 4.6.5-3.2
Description
Specifies how the inverter responds to a hit software limit switch.
The hardware limit switches and software limit switches are monitored in each drive function.
With software limit switches, the system already monitors whether the target position is within the limit switches when the target position is set. If a position outside the limit switches is specified, the drive does not move but the specified response is performed immediately. When the drive reaches the position of the software limit switch (e.g. for speed control), the specified response is also performed.
The following settings are possible:
Setting | Meaning |
---|---|
No response | The event is ignored. |
Emergency stop + output stage inhibit | The drive stops subject to speed control with the value of the Emergency stop deceleration parameter (parameter group Monitoring functions > Limit values). The output stage is inhibited when motor standstill is reached. If a brake is installed, it is applied or the DynaStop® function is activated. To move clear of the limit switch, a setpoint must be present in the travel direction and within the valid positioning range before the fault can be actively acknowledged. |
Emergency stop + output stage inhibit with self reset | The drive stops subject to speed control with the value of the Emergency stop deceleration parameter (parameter group Monitoring functions > Limit values). The output stage is inhibited when motor standstill is reached. If a brake is installed, it is applied or the DynaStop® function is activated. To move clear of the limit switch, a setpoint must be available in the direction of travel and within a valid positioning range so that the inverter automatically acknowledges the fault. |
