HW limit switch hit response
- Menu: 4.6.5-3.1
Description
Specifies how the inverter responds to a hit hardware limit switch.
The hardware limit switches and software limit switches are monitored in each drive function.
The following settings are possible:
Setting | Meaning |
---|---|
No response | The event is ignored. |
Emergency stop + output stage inhibit | The drive stops subject to speed control with the value of the Emergency stop deceleration parameter (parameter group Monitoring functions > Limit values). The output stage is inhibited when motor standstill is reached. If a brake is installed, it is applied or the DynaStop® function is activated. To move clear of the limit switch, a setpoint must be present in the travel direction before the fault can be actively acknowledged. |
Emergency stop + output stage inhibit with self reset | The drive stops subject to speed control with the value of the Emergency stop deceleration parameter (parameter group Monitoring functions > Limit values). The output stage is inhibited when motor standstill is reached. If a brake is installed, it is applied or the DynaStop® function is activated. To move clear of the limit switch, a setpoint must be available in the direction of travel so that the inverter automatically acknowledges the fault. |
