Use fixed offset memory

Description
The offset between the rotor position and encoder can be set to a fixed value if it is possible to ensure that the same initial position of the motor is always used.
SEW-EURODRIVE recommends using this parameter in the following cases:
- When using a linear motor with an encoder without absolute positioning
- When using a rotating motor with an encoder without absolute position based on one motor revolution
To determine the fixed offset, do the following:
- Set the Use fixed offset memory parameter to 0 (No).
- Move the drive to the initial position.
- De-energize the inverter (line voltage and DC 24 V supply voltage) and then switch the inverter on again.
- Set the Operating mode parameter to Manual.
- Perform FCB 18. Manually enter the determined value (Measured encoder offset parameter) in the Fixed offset parameter.
- Set the Use fixed offset memory parameter to 1 (Yes).
- The value is saved in the location defined in the Storage location parameter.
- Set the Operating mode parameter to Automatic.
The following parameters are set:
Parameter | Meaning |
---|---|
Use fixed offset memory | Specifies whether the fixed offset is used. |
Fixed offset | Fixed offset specified by the user (for example the value determined based on the step instructions). |
