Positioning is carried out straight away.

1 (yes)

Positioning starts only with the set control bit. Either a bit of the digital inputs (parameter group Inputs/outputs > Basic unit/I/O card) or a bit of the control words (parameter group Setpoints > Control word.) must be parameterized to FCB 09 Position control – accept position as the control bit.

The target position is adopted only when the control bit receives a rising edge. This is particularly advantageous in relative positioning because relative cycles of the same position values are used. With each edge, the target position is adjusted by the relative target position.

If the control bit is parameterized on several sources (e.g., on 2 bits of the digital inputs, or 1 bit of the digital inputs and 1 bit of the control words), the edges of all these bits are evaluated.

Example: If the relative setpoint position is 100 revolutions, then 200 revolutions are traveled by toggling the control bit twice in succession.
