Positioning mode
The following settings are possible:
Setting | Meaning |
---|---|
Absolute | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as absolute target and is converted into system units. The value range is system units is -231 – +231-1. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. |
Relative | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as offset to the last target position value, is converted into system units, and is added to the last target position in system units. The value range of this offset position in system units is -231 – +231-1. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. |
Modulo absolute – positive direction | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as the absolute position and must be within the modulo positioning range. The modulo positioning range is specified by the parameters Modulo minimum and Modulo maximum from the paramete group Monitoring functions > Limit values. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. To reach the target position, the drive always rotates in a positive direction of rotation. |
Modulo absolute – negative direction | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as the absolute position and must be within the modulo positioning range. The modulo positioning range is specified by the parameters Modulo minimum and Modulo maximum from the paramete group Monitoring functions > Limit values. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. To reach the target position, the drive always turns in negative direction of rotation. |
Modulo absolute – shortest distance | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as the absolute position and must be within the modulo positioning range. The modulo positioning range is specified by the parameters Modulo minimum and Modulo maximum from the parameter group Monitoring functions > Limit values. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. The direction of rotation of the drive is specified in such a way that the shortest distance results from positioning between actual position and current setpoint position. |
Absolute – without referencing | The target position setpoint in user units is interpreted as absolute target and is converted into system units. The value range in system units is -231 – +231-1. If the target position setpoint is outside this range, error E‑19.2 Process data: Position setpoint violation is triggered and the drive is stopped. No checking whether the drive has been referenced. |
