Help us improve and report security vulnerabilities to our CERT

Our Corporate CERT experts and contact persons, who are responsible for the entire SEW Group internationally, are responsible for ongoing quality assurance in our company. We rely on your help to protect ourselves and our portfolio against cyber threats in the best possible way. All reports on cyber security relating to the company itself or to a product, solution, or service are therefore important and are taken very seriously. Our CERT experts process the reports centrally, manage the internal analysis, and initiate the necessary steps.

If you become aware of a potential vulnerability in one of our systems, or if there have been other security-related incidents in your company that are related to SEW-EURODRIVE products, solutions, or services, please report them to our CERT (primary language: English). Further details can also be found in our Disclosure Policy.

Confirmed vulnerabilities are handled by our central CERT experts for all SEW-EURODRIVE products with digital elements. We publish any resulting updates or other security recommendations for minimizing risk in the form of security advisories. You also have the option of subscribing to a newsletter, through which we automatically send information about new and updated security advisories for our products.

How to report vulnerabilities to our CERT

Send us a message to report vulnerabilities and security gaps – you are also welcome to use our contact form. Our Corporate CERT experts will support you on all topics relating to product security

Please provide us with the following information:

  • Contact information for any queries, including company details of the correspondent if necessary
  • Product(s) affected, including model or version number if necessary
  • For system solutions, project designation/number if necessary
  • Detailed description and classification of the vulnerability
  • Effects of the vulnerability (if known)
  • Reference to previously published CVE, including CVSS score if necessary (if known)

The CERT experts control the internal analysis of potential security weak points and initiates the necessary response. In the event of confirmed weak points, safety notes are published in the form of security advisories and, if the situation demands, updates concerning specific measures are provided.
