Help us make further improvements by reporting security vulnerabilities to our CERT

The experts and contacts in our CERT oversee the entire SEW-EURODRIVE Group worldwide and are responsible for continuous quality assurance in our company. To ensure that we and our portfolio have the best possible protection from cyber threats, we need your help. That is why every report relating to cybersecurity that concerns our company itself or one of our products, solutions, or services is important and will be taken seriously. Our CERT experts process reports centrally, manage in-house analyses, and initiate necessary measures.

If you become aware of a potential vulnerability in one of our systems, or if there have been other security-related incidents in your company that are associated with products, solutions, or services from SEW-EURODRIVE, we ask that you report them to our CERT experts (English is their main language). Further details can be found in our Disclosure Policy.

When vulnerabilities have been confirmed, our corporate CERT takes care of these with regard to all SEW-EURODRIVE products with digital elements. We publish any resultant updates or other security recommendations for minimizing risk in the form of security advisories. There is also the option to sign up for a newsletter we send out automatically with information about new and updated security advisories relating to our products.

How to report vulnerabilities to our CERT

Send us a message to report weaknesses and security vulnerabilities – you are also welcome to use our contact form. Our corporate CERT will support you with all issues relating to cybersecurity.

Please provide us with the following information:

  • Contact information for any queries, including company details of the person submitting the report, if applicable
  • The product(s) affected, including model or version number, if applicable
  • In the case of system solutions, provide the project designation/number, if applicable
  • A detailed description and classification of the vulnerability
  • The effects of the vulnerability (if known)
  • A reference to a previously published CVE, including CVSS score, if applicable (if known)

The CERT experts at SEW-EURODRIVE manage the in-house analysis of potential security vulnerabilities and initiate necessary measures. In the event that vulnerabilities are confirmed, our CERT publishes security notifications in the form of security advisories and, if the situation makes it necessary, issues updates on product-specific measures.
