SOS

Description

The SOS safety sub-function monitors the stop position of the drive. A positive and negative limit position is determined based on the detected actual position and a parameterized tolerance value. If the actual position value is outside the calculated range, the STO safety sub-function is activated immediately as an error response. The brake application time is not taken into account.

After acknowledging the error, the limit positions are calculated again with the actual position at the time when the error occurred. The speed is not monitored.

With the SOS safety sub-function, the drive function FCB 19 position hold control is activated in the inverter.

The safety sub-function can be activated as follows:

  • Via a safe digital input F‑DI
  • Via the safe process data of the higher-level safety controller

INFORMATION

The SOS safety sub-function must not be used with the EI7C FS encoder.
