Description

Defines whether the safety option intervenes in the control of the inverter when the safety sub-function is active.

The parameter setting is specified in the Assist CS.. tool. In MOVISUITE®, the specified setting is only displayed. This description refers to the Assist CS.. tool.

The following settings are possible:

Setting

Meaning

Active

  • If the final status STO was set for the SSx safety sub-function, the safety option activates the drive function FCB 13 Stop at application limits.
  • If the final status SOS was set for the SSx safety sub-function, the safety option activates the drive function FCB 19 Position hold control.

The inverter stops the motor with the defined application limit for deceleration (parameter group Functions > Monitoring functions > Limit values). The limit value specified for the jerk time is additionally used for the jerk-limited ramp.

Not active

The safety option does not interfere with the inverter control. The inverter is controlled via an external source, such as digital inputs, fieldbus, or system bus.

Active with limitation

  • If the final status STO was set for the SSx safety sub-function, the safety option activates the drive function FCB 13 Stop at application limits.
  • If the final status SOS was set for the SSx safety sub-function, the safety option activates the drive function FCB 19 Position hold control.

The inverter stops the motor with the defined application limit for deceleration (parameter group Functions > Monitoring functions > Limit values). The limit value specified for the jerk time is additionally used for the jerk-limited ramp. The deceleration ramp of the inverter is limited to the following values:
