Description
Defines when extended diagnostics for the internal safe digital output F‑DO STO is performed. Extended diagnostics is an additional function for diagnosing the internal safe digital output F‑DO STO.
If a fault is detected during diagnostics, the safe digital outputs are disabled.
The parameter setting is specified in the Assist CS.. tool. In MOVISUITE®, the specified setting is only displayed. This description refers to the Assist CS.. tool.
The following settings are possible:

Test when deactivated | After the STO safety sub-function is deactivated, a check is performed to make sure the extended diagnostics of the inverter is working in the STO circuit. |
Test when deactivated and time monitoring | After the STO safety sub-function is deactivated, a check is performed to make sure the extended diagnostics of the inverter is working in the STO circuit. If diagnostics is not performed within 8 hours, the STO safety sub-function issues a warning. Time monitoring only works correctly if the STO safety sub-function is deactivated before each restart of the safety option. The safety option must not be switched off and on again cyclically because time monitoring is reset and no test is performed when the device is switched on. The STO safety sub-function issues a warning 8 hours after the last test after switching on the safety option. |
