Acceleration filter time

Description

The parameter is displayed if a sine/cosine encoder was selected in the Encoder type parameter.

Time interval used to determine the average speed change from the encoder signal.

The filter time is used to compensate for physical fluctuations in the acceleration, or to reduce quantization errors of the evaluation method.

The filter time has an impact on the response time of the acceleration functions (safety sub-function SLA) and must be taken into account in the safety assessment.

The default value of the filter time is 50 ms.
