In position

  • Menu: 4.6.1-5

Description

Reference signal whether the actual position is in the range specified by the user around the target position when the FCB 09 Position control drive function is active. When this range is left, the reference signal is revoked regardless of the drive status and the drive function status.

The following parameters define when a reference signal is set or revoked:

  • Window width – Value used to calculate the width of a position window around the target position according to the formula target position ± half window width. Within the position window, the target position is regarded as reached and the inverter signals that the drive is in position.
  • Hysteresis – To prevent the continuous setting and resetting of the reference signal, a hysteresis window can be set around the position window according to the formula target position ± half window width ± hysteresis value. When the upper or lower limit of the hysteresis window is reached, the in position reference signal is set or revoked.
  • Actual target position in user units – Target position specified by the setpoint source.

x0

Target position

x1

Lower limit of the position window (target position - half window width)

x2

Upper limit of the position window (target position + half window width)

x3

Lower limit of the hysteresis window (target position - half window width - hysteresis value)

x4

Upper limit of the hysteresis window (target position + half window width + hysteresis value)

If the actual position passes a limit of the position window, the in position reference signal is set. The reference signal is only revoked after the hysteresis window has been left.
