Our carbon accounting takes Scope 1 and 2 emissions into account. This is crucial, because we want our German sites to achieve climate-neutrality on this basis by 2026.
The energy consumed at Graben-Neudorf, one of our biggest and most important production and assembly sites, currently comes from a mix of sources, but is primarily electrical energy. Photovoltaic systems on the premises and the purchase of green electricity (since 2024) have helped boost the proportion of renewables in this energy mix to a third. We also use natural gas as an energy source.
Emissions are calculated based on the actual mix of energy sources in the local energy network. We are therefore factoring in the type of energy we are procuring based on local circumstances.

Technical standards-based calculation adhering strictly to DIN EN 50598-3 (method currently under review). This section of the DIN technical standard has three principles:
