Teamwork is the name of the game
After working for a long time as a development engineer in the traction sector, I began to long for change in 2003. Even someone with an interesting job like a developer sometimes wants more. I already knew SEW-EURODRIVE well through friends and acquaintances. Most of the discussions focused on the positive working atmosphere. As a specialized developer, I sometimes have trouble meeting the criteria of a certain profile. But it worked out this time, and now I've been at SEW-EURODRIVE for over ten years.
For the first few years, my main task was introducing and maintaining existing drive software, particularly control modes for asynchronous machines. Theoretical analysis, simulation, implementation of processes and technical review of measurement results are my main focuses. During redevelopment of the processes, we set up a small, highly motivated team that's responsible for this core competency at SEW-EURODRIVE.
Freedom in responsibility is very important to SEW-EURODRIVE: As a developer this means utilizing the creative freedom provided while remaining aware of the great responsibility you have taken on.

Team work: That's what it's all about. Very positive personal interactions, combined with the ability to handle technical disputes. After all, only the best solution can take us further, and it's not always a compromise. We're encouraged to bring our egos with all our abilities to the group, while keeping an eye on the big picture.
Freedom in responsibility is very important to SEW-EURODRIVE: As a developer this means utilizing the creative freedom provided while remaining aware of the great responsibility you have taken on. There are a lot of opportunities to be creative. Different solutions can – and sometimes must – compete with each other so that we can pursue the right one. It always has to be clear that this process ultimately leads to a product development that should and can be produced on a large scale. Cost/benefit aspects play a significant role.
I feel really good here because of the high standards and very good teamwork, and I hope that SEW-EURODRIVE continues to be a successful company. I'll do my part to make sure it does.
