Particularly exciting challenges
I've now been working for SEW-EURODRIVE for over four years, and I've gained quite a bit of experience. It all started with a semester internship in IT while I was completing my degree in Commercial IT. Because of the interesting tasks in software development, I stayed on afterwards as a student trainee at SEW-EURODRIVE.
I came into contact with the topic of software development in an SAP environment for the first time while writing my thesis. I received excellent support from experienced employees both while I was looking for a topic and while I was completing my thesis. After I completed my degree, I started here as an SAP software developer.
And it didn't get boring once I started a normal job. At first, my focus was still on clearly defined development tasks. As I gained experience, the tasks became more challenging and I took on more and more areas of responsibility: from basic software development to conceptual design of entire IT solutions and even project management.
A particularly exciting challenge for me as a function manager is technical management and scheduling of internal and external employees. For this task, I always have to keep the big picture in mind.
Now I'm a function manager for the SAP CRM (customer relationship management) system we use internationally. The SAP CRM system is used to manage the majority of quotations, orders, service activities and complaints for our customers, as well as our global customer master data.
For this system, I assist in defining new processes and solutions, create IT concepts and of course also develop. A particularly exciting challenge for me as a function manager is technical management and scheduling of internal and external employees. In this process, I always have to keep the big picture in mind so that all projects are finished on time.
SEW-EURODRIVE not only gave me the opportunity to develop further, but also actively supported me in the process. The company has various measures for this purpose, including an extensive training catalog and annual qualification meetings. These meetings focus not only on personal development, but also the employee's current tasks and satisfaction. The many experienced colleagues who are always ready to help and offer support with technical knowledge are essential to our daily work.
