Working in a team-based environment
I first came into contact with SEW-EURODRIVE while earning my doctor's degree through a working group at the FVA (drive technology research association). I immediately noticed how dedicated the company's representative was and how interested he was in my research. As I continued with my research, I decided that I wanted to work at SEW-EURODRIVE, one of the world's leading drive engineering companies, after I finished my degree.
My interviews in 2011 reinforced my positive impressions and I got a better idea of SEW-EURODRIVE's corporate principles. These principles include promoting innovation and striving for quality. I can really identify with these values because they're also important for me personally. Once I had signed the contract, I looked forward to the new challenges waiting for me at SEW-EURODRIVE.
I perform my interdisciplinary and diverse tasks as part of research and development projects in a professional and team-based environment.
Now I'm a calculation engineer for development of standard gear units in the Gearing technology group. I perform my interdisciplinary and diverse tasks as part of research and development projects in a professional and team-based environment. The main department's organizational structure defines a goal and progress-oriented way of working that gives me a direct point of reference for consistent new developments and further development of existing products. I also represent the SEW-EURODRIVE beyond the limits of the company by working in various committees and completing projects with external research organizations. This way of working and the extensive continuing education program allow me to follow my personal philosophy of constantly learning.
I really value the pleasant working environment at the company. The state-of-the-art workplaces and the leisure activities offered really add to this atmosphere. I regularly go to spinning class with my colleagues – it's the perfect counterpart to our everyday office work, and a good opportunity to get to know the team even better.
