Continuing work on a doctorate
Having successfully completed an internship at SEW‑EURODRIVE, I decided to apply for a doctoral research position at SEW‑EURODRIVE once I completed my mechanical engineering degree. I was particularly attracted by the possibility of working on my doctorate while gaining practical experience in the profession at the same time. Even as a postgraduate student, I was fully integrated into the department. This allowed me to make plenty of contacts and to get to know SEW‑EURODRIVE on an intimate level.
What I found especially great: The company always gave me the necessary freedom to pursue and implement my own ideas. The challenge was to promote the application of new methods in the “SEW world.”
SEW-EURODRIVE made it possible for me to continue working in my doctorate’s subject area. But I was also able to take on new and interesting development tasks.

When I started my career in the Application Software expert group, the transition was seamless. SEW-EURODRIVE made it possible for me to continue working in my doctorate’s subject area. But I was also able to take on new and interesting development tasks.
Despite the professional working environment, every day at SEW‑EURODRIVE reminds me that it is a family company, and there is a sense of unity among all the employees. I am especially glad that I was able to start my career, even during a time of economic crisis.
