Integrated safety functions up to PL e / safety integrity level 3 enable the safe implementation of sophisticated machine designs. From STO to SLS, numerous safe motion functions are available. The connection is provided via Safety over EtherCAT®. In connection with MOVILINK® DDI, this creates a seamless solution for motion and safety over a single cable.
MOVIDYN® performance combines a servomotor and power electronics into a single mechatronic unit. This saves valuable installation space within the machine, reduces the need for a control cabinet, minimizes cabling requirements through the use of hybrid cables, and offers maximum energy efficiency thanks to its IE5 classification.
The drive unit achieves the Ultra-Premium Efficiency (IE5) efficiency rating in accordance with the IEC TS 60034-30-2 standard. As a result, the system operates with extreme energy efficiency and requires no external fan whatsoever, which also allows for use in hygiene-sensitive areas.
The unit supports integrated safety functions up to PL e / safety integrity level 3 (e.g., STO and SLS). Connectivity is provided via Safety over EtherCAT®. Thanks to MOVILINK® DDI, control data and safety signals are transmitted via a single hybrid cable.
The mechatronic unit offers full compatibility with the entire SEW-EURODRIVE gear unit series. It can be flexibly configured with all of the manufacturer’s standard and servo gear units to create a tailor-made drive solution.
