Description

The parameter is displayed if the following conditions are met:

  • The encoder parameters are adopted from the drive train configuration.
  • The encoder uses one of the following interfaces for data transmission: sine/cosine, HIPERFACE®, RS485, SSI or SSI combi
  • For an encoder connected to the SSI combination box, the incremental track is evaluated.

Number of tolerated faulty sine periods/cosine periods. In the 1-encoder system with a safe motor encoder, the fault tolerance must be 0.

SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends that you do not change the default value.

The number of tolerated faults has an effect on the response time and must be taken into account in the safety analysis and response time calculation.
