Description
Specifies the behavior of the counter when a device fault occurs.
The following settings are possible:
Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
Continue counting | The counter function is not affected by a device fault except for general CPU errors or hardware faults. The counter remains active in the error state and continues to count. |
Stop | The counter is stopped. The last count value is retained. After resetting the device fault, the counter function is activated again. |
Set to zero | The counter is stopped. The count value is set to 0. After resetting the device fault, the counter function is activated again. |
Restart | The counter is set to 0, but remains active in error state and continues to count directly. |
