For registered users of the DriveRadar® IoT Suite for industrial gear units, the app also offers an integrated dashboard for alarm monitoring and KPI monitoring.
Parameter access, startup, and live diagnostics via Bluetooth
The app establishes a connection to the devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) – a particularly energy-efficient Bluetooth technology. Based on this, the IoT app, in combination with the CAB11A interface adapter, enables direct Bluetooth (BLE) communication with our latest-generation inverters equipped with a keypad slot. This allows you to read and modify parameters and entire parameter trees, perform startup, and copy, save, and write parameter sets – or send them to our MOVISUITE® engineering software for further processing.
In addition, you can use the app to set the most important control parameters via live data monitoring. The integrated manual operation allows for an initial functional test directly on site. Live diagnostics and the ability to directly reset any errors that occur make fault elimination simple and transparent.

The IoT app currently supports three different application workflows. When an active internet connection is available, it connects to the digital twin.
In addition, the app provides the following features:

Direct communication with the inverters of the MOVI-C® modular automation system via a Bluetooth connection to our CAB11A interface adapter (BLE module). This allows virtually all functions and tasks currently possible with the CBG21A – as well as additional ones – to be performed using any mobile device. - Application Workflow 2
Identification of all SEW-EURODRIVE products via QR code, OCR, or direct entry of the serial number. Based on this, information, mounting, and startup assistants are available, specifically for our gearmotors, among other things. - Application Workflow 3
Monitoring of connected industrial gear units. This visualizes key performance indicators (KPIs) and issues alerts/messages regarding changes in status. (Requires a user account for the DriveRadar® IoT Suite for industrial gear units)
What are the benefits of combining the IoT app with the CAB11A (BLE module)?
The CAB11A interface adapter (BLE module) enables wireless access to the inverters of the MOVI-C® modular automation system. Through a connection with the IoT app, key engineering functions are thus available directly on mobile devices – securely, quickly, and without additional cabling.
