Wear reduced
on the sealing lip by about 50%
Expected service life longer
by a factor of 2 (compared to other systems on the market), which means longer maintenance intervals
No run-in
or wear on the shaft – replacement oil seals can be installed at the same location
Improved reliability
against leakage with increased system availability
Oil seals are subject to increasing boundary conditions in today's production systems. For example, our gear units and thus the sealing systems are used in machines that run at variable speeds or in continuous duty and thus change the temperatures of the drive system. Depending on the capacity utilization, the internal pressure of a gear unit also varies.
We use special sealing systems to protect your system from escaping lubricant, our gear unit from entering dirt and the motor from escaping oil from the gear unit.
In addition to the conventional oil seals, we offer you two sealing rings that have been specially developed for us as an option: The Premium Sine Seal and the Premium Sine Seal conductive. Together with Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, these oil seals were developed for the input motor shaft of gearmotors/mounted gearmotors and are only used in conjunction with a gear unit.
The two keep tight
The Premium Sine Seal oil seals are available in two designs: Standard for an extended service life and with special fleece to prevent harmful leakage currents via the bearings.
Your advantage: The sinusoidal sealing lip means that both the Premium Sine Seal and the Premium Sine Seal conductive have a significantly longer shelf life and, in case of service, the new oil seal can be used at the same point on the shaft, as the Premium Sine Seal does not cause the shaft to run in. Due to the special shape of the sealing lip, the contact on the rotating shaft is larger, which results in better heat dissipation and also promotes lubricant exchange on the sealing surface.
Electrically conductive fleece – strong effect against electrical erosion
An electrically conductive fleece is attached to the Premium Sine Seal conductive as a contact bridge for the current between the housing and the shaft. The fleece protects the bearings from harmful leakage currents within the drive unit. This prevents premature bearing failure and significantly extends the service life of the bearings.
