Functional safety not only contributes to personal safety, but also significantly to increasing the productivity of systems and machines. That's why we rely on flexible solutions with safetyDRIVE. All our drive and frequency inverters offer the function of safely switching off the electrical power to the motor (STO). The portfolio is completed by the safety options MOVISAFE® CS..A. The safety options support all essential motion functions such as Safely Limited Speed (SLS), Safe Direction (SDI), Safe Operating Stop (SOS), as well as position-dependent functions such as Safely Limited Increment (SLI) and Safely Limited Position (SLP). The safety functions can be implemented independently or via safe fieldbuses such as PROFIsafe, CIP SafetyTM or Safety over EtherCAT® can be controlled. The decentralized drive units MOVIONE®, MOVIMOT® advanced, MOVIMOT® performance, MOVIMOT® performance ELV and MOVIGEAR® performance as well as the decentralized inverters MOVIONE®, MOVIMOT® flexible and MOVIPRO® technology decentralized inverters with integrated safety sub-functions are available for use in decentralized installations. Safety technology for decentralized installations

Modular safety service packages
We offer certified safety components and relevant safety parameters in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 in the form of a VDMA library for Sistema, for example. This enables us to provide you with seamless validation of the safety functions, rounded off by our modular, flexibly structured safety service packages.
In cooperation with TÜV, we successfully cover all phases of the safety life cycle. In addition to the components for functional safety, our safety-related services include project planning, validation of safety functions and commissioning for all aspects of the Machinery Directive. These are complemented by the supportive advice of our qualified employees with extensive experience in functional safety.
