The MOVIMOT® advanced drive unit consists of a decentralized inverter and optionally an IE3 asynchronous motor of the DRN.. series or an IE5 synchronous motor of the DR2C.. series.

Integrating an IE3 asynchronous motor of the DRN.. series or an energy-efficient IE5 synchronous motor of the DR2C.. series with the new, decentralized inverter from the MOVI‑C® modular automation system means the decentralized drive unit achieves the maximum system efficiency IES2 to IEC 61800-9-2. The integrated digital interface ensures quick, easy and convenient startup, even with the widest range of gearmotor options.

The MOVIMOT® advanced drive unit is our all-rounder that can be adapted precisely to meet your needs. MOVIMOT® advanced can be combined with all standard gear units in series 7 and 9 for versatile and flexible use. It's a true all-rounder for numerous intelligent logistics applications.

Properties

  • Gear unit variant: Drive unit consisting of a DRN.. asynchronous motor (IE3) or a DR2C.. synchronous motor (IE5) with integrated inverter and optional gear unit. Can be combined with all standard gear units of the SEW-EURODRIVE modular system.
  • Brake variant:
    • Available with all standard brakes in the DRN.. series (230 V, 400 V)
    • With optional manual brake release (lockable or re-engaging)
    • Brakemotors can absorb regenerative energy, making internal braking resistors superfluous
  • MOVILINK® DDI: The digital motor interface with an electronic nameplate that includes all drive unit data. This saves you valuable time by eliminating the need for manual motor startup.
  • Speed setting range IE3 asynchronous motor DRN..:
    • Star connection: 1:10 (without encoder) 1:1400 (with encoder)
