SEW-EURODRIVE covers virtually every application in a wide variety of industries with the special agitator design used in three highly successful standard gear unit series. The RM.. series of helical gear units from SEW‑EURODRIVE has long been available as an option for mixer and agitator applications.
NEW to the portfolio are the FM../FAM.. series of parallel-shaft helical gear units and the KM../KAM.. series of helical-bevel gear units – the two types of gear unit often used for such applications. On the one hand, these variants enable better use to be made of the available space, while on the other, agitator shafts with a mixing element can be inserted directly into the hollow gear unit shafts in the portfolio. Additional bearings can be dispensed with in many cases.
The permissible overhung loads range from 25 000 N to 176 500 N and the motors corresponding with the relevant sizes vary in power from 0.12 kW to 200 kW. The maximum permitted gear unit output torque ranges from 820 Nm to 20 000 Nm.

The X agitator drives from SEW‑EURODRIVE can be used wherever a high level of performance is required for stirring and mixing large quantities of liquid or paste-type substances, for example in the chemical industry, the food industry, wastewater treatment or mining.
X series agitator drives have been designed for application-specific loads:
