The distribution module is used to establish a consistently decentralized star topology directly in the field. It receives power and communication signals and distributes them clearly via six Speedcon hybrid connections (1 input, 5 outputs) to decentralized drives such as MOVIDYN® performance or MOVIDYN® flexible.
Up to three distribution modules can be easily connected in series. This allows the field infrastructure to be flexibly expanded for additional machine modules without having to modify existing cable routes or the existing control cabinet wiring.
The integrated capacitances stabilize the DC link voltage in the decentralized system while simultaneously reducing the capacitive load on the axes. This allows designers to make the connected drive units in the field noticeably more compact.
Yes. The distribution module features an integrated M12 EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS-OUT interface (output). This M12 port allows additional devices, such as decentralized I/O modules, to be integrated directly in the field without having to set up a separate infrastructure.
