Fast integration
With just a single central interface, power supply and communication are transmitted from the control cabinet to the field level. This simplifies machine integration and shortens installation time.
Clear system architecture
Centralized infrastructure in the control cabinet, decentralized servo drives in the field: clear functional assignment, easy expandability, and transparent diagnostics.
High Flexibility for Extensions
New machine modules and additional drives can be easily integrated into the existing infrastructure. This allows the system to grow with the machine’s requirements.
With the MOVIDYN® decentralized servo system, you can move the servo technology from the control cabinet directly into the functional machine module. The coupling module acts as the link between the central control and power supply and the decentralized servo drives (such as MOVIDYN® performance) in the field.
To ensure clearly structured integration, the coupling module provides the DC link, the 24-V auxiliary power, and EtherCAT® communication. This enables a fully seamless connection to proven control cabinet technology. In combination with the MOVIDYN® distribution modules, this creates an extremely versatile infrastructure for modern machine layouts.
The design principle remains as simple as possible: a coupling module to the control level, followed by a defined field distribution to the individual axes. This reduces installation effort, accelerates startup at the plant, and enables both simple and highly complex decentralized drive solutions with minimal engineering effort.

The coupling module acts as an interface that transmits power (DC link and 24 V auxiliary power) as well as fieldbus communication from the control cabinet to the IP65 field environment and to the decentralized servo drives.
The decentralized field infrastructure is supplied via two hybrid connections. These carry both power and communication (e.g., EtherCAT®) to up to two separate MOVIDYN® drive trains.
Yes. By implementing a parallel connection of up to two coupling modules, the decentralized system can be flexibly expanded to support up to four MOVIDYN® drive phases per drive system.
The module has been specifically developed for easy integration into existing MOVIDRIVE® modularsystems and communicates via module bus as well as EtherCAT®/SBusPLUS
