How can the highest quality standards be ensured for smart factories? SEW-EURODRIVE and Cras Elettromeccanica collaborated on the modernization of Salice’s automated storage facility. The focus was on high reliability, availability and sustainability. SEW-EURODRIVE’s intelligent power and energy management system, Power and Energy Solutions, played a crucial role in this project. Salice develops and manufactures high-quality opening and closing systems for furniture, including hinges, guide systems, and pull-out systems, entirely in-house. When modernizing its automated storage facility for semi-finished products, Salice relied on the long-standing intralogistics expertise of Cras Elettromeccanica as well as the drive and automation solutions from SEW-EURODRIVE.
For Salice, ensuring production reliability was of paramount importance. Since the automated warehouse for semi-finished products plays a key role in the material flow, the modernization aimed to equally enhance efficiency, sustainability, safety, and future-readiness.
