In Leimen cement works, a third-party gear unit needed replacing in a vertical sifter. SEW-EURODRIVE assisted HeidelbergCement AG with all the steps involved in the conversion process. After consultation and clarifying the technical aspects, the team designed a new drive and compiled a quotation.

An X series industrial gear unit from SEW-EURODRIVE replaced the existing bevel-helical gear unit. The X gear unit was fitted with a flange on the output side to connect it to the output cone. The existing coupling was overhauled.
After reviewing the original drive components, their disassembly and the delivery of the new products, HeidelbergCement was ready to install and start up the new drive. During the switchover, HeidelbergCement AG benefited particularly from the short delivery time, all-round support and attractive full service package.
When the time came to exchange another sifter drive, the customer again chose SEW-EURODRIVE.
