28.04.2023 • SEW-EURODRIVE reduces delivery time for gear units and gearmotors in standard design to ten working days: Through extensive process adjustments, coupled with the high personal commitment of all employees, SEW-EURODRIVE has managed to reduce delivery times in the area of gear units and gearmotors in standard design to the usual level. In the electronics area, there is still a tense situation in some places with regard to the market for critical components. But here, too, there are signs of increasing improvement.
Thanks to great joint efforts by our customers and the staff at SEW-EURODRIVE, the uncertainties regarding delivery times in the area of standard gearmotors have now been overcome. SEW-EURODRIVE would like to thank all customers for their great understanding for the delayed delivery and their willingness to work with us to overcome this critical situation. In close cooperation with our suppliers, we were able to overcome the bottleneck in the supply of components for gear units and gearmotors. For example, components that were reported to be in short supply at the beginning of the week were nevertheless delivered in unexpected quantities a few days later, enabling us to produce additional gearmotors. This required, among other things, a high internal and external communication effort. For the standard versions of the gear units and gearmotors of the small and medium sizes or outputs, a delivery time of up to a maximum of ten working days has already been achieved again.
"We only have longer delivery times for a very small number of very special gearmotor designs where we are waiting for the delivery of add-on parts. However, the majority of delivery dates can now be met again," emphasizes Patrik Menges, Head of Sales Germany at SEW-EURODRIVE. "In the case of electronic products, we still have a tight market situation in some places for critical components, but this is also already increasingly improving. Thus, we are looking to the future with confidence. This was only possible in close coordination and cooperation with our customers. I would therefore like to expressly thank them for the trust they have placed in us and their willingness to master these challenges together with us, even in difficult times".
