Bruchsal, HANNOVER MESSE 2023, 14.04.2023 • Last year, SEW EURODRIVE expanded its solutions and product portfolio with new stainless steel servo gearmotors in the PSH.. CM2H.. series. At this year's HANNOVER MESSE, the company is revealing the additional stainless steel gear units and gearmotors that are to be launched by the end of this year. Visitors to the fair will be able to see for themselves what the broad portfolio of stainless steel drive solutions for use in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries looks like.
Previously, stainless steel gear units in the RES.. and KES.. series were only available in size 37, with a maximum torque of up to 200 Nm. Now, the helical gear units have been expanded to include size RESF27, which extends the options in the lower torque range to 130 Nm. The KES.. series is being extended with the KES..47 and KES..57 sizes, which offer up to 400 Nm and 600 Nm respectively. In 2023, SEW EURODRIVE is also bringing stainless steel SPIROPLAN® right-angle gear units to the market for the first time. These will be available in sizes WES..19 (up to 80 Nm), and WES..29 (up to 130 Nm).
The stainless steel adapters for attaching IEC and NEMA motors are being completely overhauled in a new generation and are being extended with new adapters for use with stainless steel servomotors. These make it easy to mount the stainless steel gear units onto the hygienic stainless steel servomotors of the CM2H.. series.
Furthermore, the stainless steel gear units can be mounted directly to the fan-cooled stainless steel motors of the TENV.. series to create self-contained gearmotors. This saves on weight, installation length and, not least, the costs for an adapter.
Thanks to their special housing design and the use of high-quality stainless steels, the drives in the RES.., KES.., and WES.. stainless steel gear unit series are ideal for use in permanently damp environments and for meeting the requirements of the food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals industries, where hygiene is critical and cleaning is intensive. Their smooth surfaces are easy to clean and highly resistant to acids and alkalis. Indentations in the housing have been largely avoided to minimize the number of places where liquids and dirt can be deposited and accumulate. The entirely stainless steel design thus effectively prevents any form of corrosion. Furthermore, all seals and connections are protected to IP 69K.
New sizes and new adapters added to the stainless steel gear unit series
