The information and general conditions regarding the COVID 19 pandemic change at very short notice. Therefore, our crisis management team adapts SEW-EURODRIVE's measures on a daily basis and informs you about this here.

What is the delivery capability at SEW-EURODRIVE?

The situation due to the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic is now so serious that some SEW-EURODRIVE plants had to be closed. The closure of these plants as well as disruptions within the European supply chain have a significant impact on our ability to supply. We keep our customers informed about the current status via the familiar contact channels, but also at this point.

The current COVID 19 pandemic is a case of force majeure, the duration and effects of which cannot yet be predicted with sufficient certainty. We are doing everything to minimize the effects for our customers.

SEW-EURODRIVE is aware of its responsibility to society as a whole. Therefore, we will maintain our ability to deliver and service the "critical infrastructure" (CRITIS) as long as possible. Ensuring the ability to supply and service these production systems, which include energy, logistics, health and nutrition, has top priority.

We assure you that we are doing everything in our power to maintain our service capability and restore our comprehensive delivery capability.

How does SEW-EURODRIVE deal with customer visits and business trips?

For reasons of care towards our customers and employees, we currently refrain from business trips that are not absolutely necessary. As an alternative, we offer our customers the possibility of digital recording of conversations such as video conferences (Webex or Skype). Planned service assignments are of course carried out. If you have any questions, please contact your responsible field service.

Are training courses still being held at SEW-EURODRIVE?

Due to the current measures taken by the state government of Baden-Württemberg against the spread of the corona virus, we unfortunately have to temporarily suspend our training activities in our DriveAcademy® in Bruchsal.

Which trade fairs is SEW-EURODRIVE currently participating in?

SEW-EURODRIVE does not take part in many spring trade fairs due to the cancellation of various trade fairs and for reasons of care towards our customers and employees. You can find the current status of trade show participations on our trade show overview page.

To what extent is SEW-EURODRIVE affected by the corona virus?

Unfortunately, SEW-EURODRIVE is also not spared due to the high propagation speed. In confirmed cases, we act according to the specifications of the responsible health authority and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

For reasons of welfare, we have made it possible for our employees, who either belong to a risk group or have to care for their children due to closed kindergartens and schools, to work from their home office. However, this does not affect the regular work routine.
