Two executives from SEW EURODRIVE now sit on the advisory committee to the "Electric Drive Systems" section of the Automation division at the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (the ZVEI) – Johann Soder and Gregor Dietz.
In the case of COO Johann Soder, his nomination saw him re-elected to the advisory committee.
Gregor Dietz, Market Manager for Motors and Gearmotors at SEW EURODRIVE, was newly elected as Chair of the ZVEI "AC Motors" working group, which also makes him a member of the advisory committee to the "Electric Drive Systems" section.
Among other things, the advisory committee specifies guidelines for the section's work, initiates projects and, if appropriate, establishes new working groups – always on the basis that it is representing the interests of all member companies on an objective and neutral footing.
Around 80 leading manufacturers are represented in the "Electric Drive Systems" section. This is part of the Automation division, which itself numbers more than 330 member companies (as at 2016). The ZVEI thus offers participating companies the ideal forum for sharing experience and opinions relating to economic developments, technical subjects, standards and technical guidelines.
