Bruchsal/Hanover 2025, 29.03.2025 • With DriveRadar®, SEW-EURODRIVE offers products and solutions for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance that enable an intelligent, data-based maintenance strategy. Based on IIoT technologies, users are supported in optimizing system performance through smart data analysis, increasing availability and reducing maintenance costs. The advantages range from efficiency and avoiding downtimes to securing a decisive competitive edge.

As one of the pioneers of innovative solutions, SEW-EURODRIVE recognized the requirements of digital transformation early on. Especially in a volatile and dynamic market environment and in view of the trend towards automation, it is crucial to know today what will happen tomorrow. Under the motto “Sustainable Thinking. Digital Acting.” at HANNOVER MESSE 2025, the globally active family-owned company will be demonstrating how products and solutions from the DriveRadar® portfolio meet these challenges. Practical examples from various industries will be used to demonstrate live how condition monitoring and predictive maintenance are taking the digital integration of the store floor to a new level.

New challenges require new solutions

“The goal of DriveRadar® is to determine the condition of products, machines and systems based on data collected during the operation of drive systems,” explains Christian Keßler, Head of Corporate Solution Center - Electronics Digitalization. “It gives our customers the opportunity to proactively take measures based on the data and avoid unplanned downtimes. The portfolio offers both complete solutions and the option of being integrated into existing systems. The product idea is simple and comprehensive at the same time: Using digital action and intelligent products to achieve operational excellence for maximum plant availability and operation in the green zone.”

The scope of services ranges from data collection via DriveRadar® SmartDataCollector to data processing and analysis at edge level in the DriveRadar® EdgeProcessingPlatform through to cloud-based platforms. These include the web applications DriveRadar® IoT Suite for applications with many setting options for monitoring and DriveRadar® APPredict, which provides a quick overview and, ideally, status data in the green zone. Based on smart data analysis and machine learning algorithms, customers receive information about alerts and potential faults via push notifications.

Best in digital integration

Products and solutions from the DriveRadar® portfolio can be used flexibly and adapted to individual system topologies. Digitalization and networking of the store floor (OT) plus the analysis of relevant system data in real time offer transparency, continuous monitoring and diagnostics. The results are clear to see: Optimized maintenance intervals, predictive maintenance, better planning capability, identification of optimization opportunities, stable process reliability and production stability, sustained maximization of the service life of wear parts and smooth integration into existing automation systems, e.g. SCADA, MES and ERP.

With DriveRadar®, the drive and automation specialist SEW-EURODRIVE relies on a combination of edge and cloud technologies that are based on the intelligent use of existing data sources and optional supplementary sensor technology. State-of-the-art technologies such as cloud platforms with machine learning and predictive analytics play a central role here.

Thinking and acting sustainably

The flexible DriveRadar® solutions can be adapted to individual requirements across all industries, e.g. for the automotive, beverage and food industries or even for highly sensitive industries such as the chemical, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. DriveRadar® enables companies to identify optimization opportunities and thus make a contribution to sustainability.
