Bruchsal/Hanover 2025, 29.03.2025 • After a successful appearance at LogiMAT trade fair At HANNOVER MESSE, SEW-EURODRIVE will present the latest solutions for stationary materials handling technology. These concepts offer maximum precision and reliability and are designed to ensure efficiency and sustainability in distribution logistics to increase.

Stationary materials handling technology for modern distribution logistics

Current and long-term trends in the courier, express and parcel logistics (CEP) sector such as globalization, the e-commerce boom, digitalization and technological innovations are putting companies under increasing pressure. The booming online trade is leading to higher demands on delivery times and transparency, which is pushing traditional logistics concepts to their limits and opening up scope for technological innovations. Distribution logistics must adapt to the rapid changes in the markets and become more efficient. Flexible and scalable solutions are required to automate processes and conserve resources at the same time.

More and more consumers and companies are ensuring that logistics processes are environmentally friendly. There is increasing pressure to reduce CO2 emissions and work and to work more energy-efficiently. International global players have set themselves ambitious targets to become climate-neutral. CEP services will therefore have to disclose their greenhouse gas emissions per parcel, which requires complete data collection and networked communication.
